Funny Comments

Listening to: Colleague talking to each other
Feeling: Sleepy but somewhat patriotic

I had received this weird odd comment for
this post that went like this from a fellow blogger named djdino:

hi cik penulis pe kabo......?
just i rasa nak berkenalan dgn penulis kerana penulis orang yang penuh dgn imiginasi dan kreatif dalam meluahkan idea2 nya.

sebenarnya saya seorang yang rasa tidak yakin dgn keupayaan saya.....jadi sebenarnya nak berkawan ngan awak harap2 saya boleh bersemangat bila mendapat semangat dari awak.

errrr...harap maaf ye kalau awk tak selesa dgn ....

Honestly, I felt damn flattered when this comment came through. I mean, he said I'm a

'penulis orang yang penuh dgn imaginasi dan kreatif dalam meluahkan idea2nya'

Wow, I thought. This must be the first time I've gotten something like that. Most of the time, people think I am just doing this for the sake of doing it. Or for people who had knew me longer would say that this is the space for me to 'berdrama'. Wow.. I really just needed to share it. I think I am blushing. I think I really am.

Anywayz, it is Merdeka's eve today. So I wish all fellow Malaysians and peminat setia blog ini a very happy Merdeka's Day!!! Merdeka!!!

I'm back

Listening to: Colleagues chattering in at the background
Feeling: Slightly sluggish

This is gonna be a week's worth of update, so be prepared for long pictures download.

It had been a pretty busy week, with my shoots and deadlines all squashed into the same week, so hence the lack of updates. So it all started on Thursday.

Thursday:
Went to the Guess's A/W05 Accessories launch at Crowne Plaza. Had a jolly good time watching the models (got my fave, Amber Chia), playing with the snake (pix below) and basically just smoozing around. I love my job!

Me trying to eat snake

Friday:
Had a full day of collections and 3 locations to collect from. Blast it. Why did I even choose KLCC to be my final stop? My stylist, Drama, reminded me of that. Had loads of bags in both my hands. Brands that I couldn't even afford their cheapest coin purses. Sheesh. Big pressure there, had to make sure that I don't drop any.

Drama Queen hard at work

Caught in a massive jam that lasted me some 2 hours. Did I mention that I had to get to a makeup artist's house for her birthday party by 8 and I was still lost by 8.30. And the house was in some god forsaken area. Thank goodness I managed to get there in one piece. Abit frazzled but made it.
On the upside, I caught some really pretty pictures of the sun in KL...

Too bad my camera's not 1.3. Its just a measly .3 so have to be contented with that!

Saturday:
Bummed around at home cause my cash is at an all time low

Sunday:
Further bummed around at home cause my cash flow is drier than a puddle on a hot sun shiny day.

Monday:
Shoot got bloody cancelled. Frantically tried calling other clients to arrange some clothes collection.

Tuesday:
Shoot like a bloody maniac till 1am. Managed to piss models off by letting them go later than promised. But oh well... too bad for them. Results were good. Very, very pleased.

Wednesday:
Work, work, work. Deadline on Friday.

Thursday:
Work, work, work. Deadline on Friday.

Friday:
Deadline and also the MH party. Last minute changes made me pretty pissed off cause that only means I have to rewrite and rearrange some of the stuff that I had done. Rushed off at 4 to get ready for the party. Got there late because of bloody KL jam again. Took a wrong turn and got there even later. Crap

Party was pretty crappy as well. Stupid games like 'How many Powerbars can you eat at one go?' makes me wanna go 'huh'? There was even a magician. A bigger 'huh'? Readers couldn't get in because we had reached the maximum number of people in the place. A big bummer actually, cause we thought it would be so much more better than this. The magician was the last straw. I wanted to die.

Anyhows, after the party was when the REAL party started.

Sarah N got really sloshed. Puked all over the outside of my car. It is funny how we had gone through this so many times that at her slightest gesture, I wound down the window and undid her seat belt so that she could stick her head out to spew. Thank goodness she knows well enough to do it outside!! :p

Danced onstage for all to see. Didn't care if people were laughing at us. Just wanted to enjoy ourselves. Had so much fun my legs cramped the moment I stepped down the stage. Not a good thing.

Saturday:
Woke up really late and went off to One Utama to think of ways to spend my just received pay. Bought 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' *how appropriate* and 2 comic books. One by Ben *love his illustrations* and Ranma1/2. Went to Starfucks, I mean, Starbucks to enjoy my new purchase and I started seeing myself as the heroin. I mean, her credit card bill comes and she dumps it into a construction site so that she don't need to read it. She writes sob story letters to the bank manager to avoid meeting with him. It's hilarious and I so see myself. Best thing is, she's also a writer, a finance magazine writer. How funny.

She buys things she can't afford (check), overspends on things she don't need (check), late on paying her bills (check) and lies to get herself out of tight situations (check). OMG, I am a drama shopoholic.

Left One Utama after reading a quarter of the book and got my ass home. Lingzhi's birthday so we went to Jushi for dinner, this really cool japanese fusion juice bar thingy restaurant in Plaza Damas near Hartamas. Had a great time. Don't take pictures though cause Lingzhi bought her digital camera so we'll just have to wait till she sends it to us.

Went to this really nice place called De'Lounge which is really a concept store actually. Love love love the place. Really cosy.

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

I could go on and on about this place. The lady managing it is so nice, we forgave her for the slow service. She was the only one working there though, so forgiven. And I have not even started on the toilet. It's fully mirrored. I love love love the toilet. I should have taken pictures... More to come from Lingzhi's camera.

Me with the King

Went off from there to Bar Savannh with Nini, Ndrew, Lingzhi and Sarah N and proceeded to down Vodkas with cranberry. A friend of Ndrew's brother's was apparently celebrating his 21st birthday there. I didn't miss the chance to bully him into downing 3 shots with me. I am so evil. He puked after that. I felt slightly bad but after a while I realized that he had a few flamers downstairs with his friends and Vodka Cranberry was just the tip of the iceberg. Didn't feel too bad after that at all. Evil!

Proceeded to drive home at 4am (Bar Savannh had to throw us to. Closing time!!) feeling progressively tipsy until I had to tell Sarah N, 'Please tell me if I'm driving too fast' Drinking is bad for you. I really need to stress here again that drink and driving is illegal and bad. Do not do it. Kept crossing my fingers that I don't meet a roadblock and thank god we didn't meet any.

Went off after that for mamak and when I got home, I was spewing as well. Bad Vodka, BAD!!

Sunday:
Slept in again, and me and Sarah N went to Ikano to redeem some contact lenses that we got for free from some media launch and I disgustingly thought I should spend somemore on myself because I've got my pay and got a little bonus so I bought myself the first thing I thought I should need. A pair of sunnies. Very pleased with it because it was actually RM620 but it was on 50% off.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
New sunnies!!

Felt slightly guilty after that because I could have saved that sum for a laptop that is on my wishlist at the moment. Oh gah! It's the first time I bought something so expensive. Well, a piece of accessory or garment anyway. So yeah.. Bleh!

Met up with Arihito, Kst, Gigi and Sissy after that for dinner and we had Okonomiyaki! *sings the Okonomiyaki song*

Met up with Cher at Friendster's after that. She looks different and acted differently too. She's getting engaged. Really great to know and like Sarah N would say, she is the first friend amongst our college gang to get married if everything goes well. All the best to her!!! xoxox

Monday:
Boring day! Work work work. Planning our Penang trip. More on that later...

Sunday evening. Too lazy to do anything else

Listening to: Simple Plan - Untitled
Feeling: Queasy with too much sleep

Another Sunday. Very uneventful after a pretty darn good Saturday. Had been such a long time since I had updated my blog. Was suddenly caught up in a barrage of work that I have to rush in before the end of next week. So, after that, I am free to do whatever I want.

I went online today to see about 8 comments by this anonymous guy (I think) saying basically the same thing but I am guessing it is spamming. Ek... How can I stop it?

Had an uneventful Saturday afternoon. Stayed in the office till 9.30pm and then went off for dinner with Arihito-sama, Sarah N and Kst at Kim Gary The Curve. And for those who had been there before, you should know that Red Box (it is a karaoke joint) is next to it. So.. the rest is history. With me and Arihito there... there is always karaoke. What torture I mean, JOY!! yes Joy!!!

Called Gigi because we knew she loveeeeess to sing... (Now that's torture) *heheh*

So we were singing there will 4am. Kst was doing Frank Sinatra, Gigi whatever that required her to reach really high notes, Arihito; all oldies and Sarah N; her mandarin songs. I was singing everything out of tune. Doesn't really matter I guess. *hehe*

Went for an after karaoke drink and got home at about 6am. Slept till 3pm today. Yawn.. Feel like singing yet again despite sore throat. More to update when I reach the office because most of my pictures are stored in my office computer.

Next Update: About a snake, a 2 hour jam in KL, a BBQ in a god forsaken place and shopping in KLCC...

Green, green... algae

Listening to: Joss Stone - Super Duper Love
Feeling: Yay!
Eating: Something that looks like rabbit pellets/terrapin pellets but nice...

It was just another one of those Sundays where I needed to get my ass back to the office to finish off some work. I was just about to leave the office with the rest of the gorgeous people. (read about them here) when Kst held up my beloved water bottle, an old 1 liter Absolute Kurant bottle I had kept from one of those wild drinking parties we used to have. And then I saw it, something green at the bottom of the bottle.

I thought, what the hell is that? So I brought it closer to examine it. I nearly dropped the bottle in shock. It is green algae. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... God knows how long it had been there and I had been drinking from that bottle since last year. Now I need to find out if anyone had died from algae poisoning. Uwek..

So to day I am gonna bring the bottle back to clean it with egg shells. Sarah N told me it would work. I would love to take a picture to commemorate this day but I couldn't bring myself to do it because it is indeed very disgusting. Ekkk~

Yay!

Listening to: M-Flo - Get on
Feeling: Sunday-ish.. But the haze is back

On a totally different note.. I want to brag about acquiring a whole new set of perfume vials from The Body Shop. *muakzmuakzmuakz* You can mix and match these scents to come up with unique scents for you and only you. YUM~

Watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and thought it was pretty alright. Johnny Depp was OK. Thought that he was abit too plasticky.. Maybe had thought that he would pull another Captain Jack Sparrow again. Sigh.. Was abit disappointed with that. Watching the whole show made me feel like eating loads and loads of Almond Snickers or Almond Cadburys.

Resisted temptation. For now...
Another step closer to my goal.
Hahahahhaha...

A series of unfortunate fortunate events

Listening to: Kelly Clarkson - Miss Independant
Feeling: SurprisedAmused

In a weird dramatic twist of events on the day of the 50 gorgeous shoot, Sissy got nominated to be one of the 50 supposed most good looking person in the whole of Malaysia. I seriously think this is so worth the early morning and puffy eyes.

Boogers and such

Listening to: Kelly Clarkson - Since you've been gone
Feeling: Haze got into my eyes

Ever since the veil of haze covered our beautiful country of Malaysia, I realized that most people blogged about the effects of the haze. How it affected the tourism industry, their health and what nots. I am more worried about how it would affect my shoot that is scheduled on the 23rd. It is an outdoor shoot and I am worried that I will be getting the whole Genting Highlands effect.

Another thing is that I realized, since the haze, my boogers turned black. I mean, I really don't mean to gross you guys out but since the haze consists mainly of dirt and dust particles (correct me if I'm wrong) we are actually inhaling dust. (hence the health concern) So what filters your lungs from these dust? Your nose and its hairy soldiers. I swear to God, that was how my science teacher once explained. Or was it my dad? I can't remember but I sure did remember it was explained as such. So that's why mum told me that nose hair is extremely important. Hairy soldiers... EKKKK

Because the dust particles are stuck in your nose, it is congealed and it turns into, taadahh boogers. So because of the amount of dust, it turns black. Yup, mine's black. Maybe it is a good sign that my hairy soldiers is doing their job turning those dust into black boogers. Yes, its a nasty job, but something's got to do it.

So the something (what's it called again?) index is like about 200 but I have just heard my colleague while contributing to the haze smoking saying that our government wouldn't be annoucing darurat until the count reaches 500. I can't imagine kids studying in open aired class rooms. Really...

A word of advice, just remember to drink at least 8 glasses of clear, plain water and smoke less.. No open burning.. Fat chance I guess because the Hungry Ghost Festival has just started and Chinese people everywhere are burning paper effigies all round Malaysia. Maybe with all that haze the ghosts might not be able to find their way here.. Hehe.. Maybe. Who knows?

Meanwhile, me will be cleaning my nose...

I am starting to feel very very freaked out with the Friendster horoscope thingy. Maybe I am just seeing what I wanna see. I am such an idiot.

Today's Forecast
How long has it been since you've talked to that old friend? You know, the one who could make you laugh just by glancing at you sideways? (Sniff) Probably far too long. What are you waiting for?

The Bottom Line
Feel like you're flying in a million different directions? Tie up loose ends later. (EH? That is not sound advice)

In Detail
Turn your focus to someone important (I am wondering who is more important in my life. I think I shall ask my mum how her day was later today) in your life. You've got so much going on that quieter types might be lost in the shuffle. Make sure they know how important they are to you, and make some room in your schedule to spend with them. It doesn't have to be a huge amount of time, either -- a ten-minute conversation where you discuss what's going on in their lives and make plans to get together can make a world of difference.

Gem and Gigi must now wanna kill me now. Ahhh~ I wanna kill myself

Another Prediction

Listening to: Marion Raven - End of Me
Feeling: Spicy

Another Friendster joint horoscope thingy that I had found and I thought it was freakily true.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com8th Aug 2005

Keep tending your garden steadily, and soon enough, you'll see the fruits of your labor bloom. If one or both of you feel like you've been expending too much energy without seeing any results, just remember that the really great things in life take a while to set up. Haste not only makes waste, but usually creates a pretty shoddy payoff too. So practice patience and cultivate all those rare specimens. You both want to see all your work reach its full potential, right?

Ekk...

I just got a tell off from Gigi and Gem. It is true that I was acting like her with her ex. I shall survive this and I shall come out stronger than ever...

We were at Friendster again yesterday and it was really funny cause we ordered a jug of stout and Sissy got fecking drunk~ *giggles hysterically*

A closeup of dead and out Sissy

He left after half an hour, and within 15 mins, sent me and Nini an SMS that read, 'Don't worry, I am very happy. Will get home safe soon'. Talk about hilarious. As soon as I finished reading out that SMS, the whole table burst out laughing. We agreed that we shouldn't ever let him have too much alcohol. *pif.

We discovered that Friendster is by far the cheapest place to have beer. Even cheaper than Decanter Too. Only fecking RM24. Sheeshh.. It's just a difference of RM1 but then, it's nearer to my house (and they supply Uno cards and Uno Stacko!!!), so I guess Friendster win!!

The food there's not bad too.. Ohh.. I am advertising for them.. WTF, I hope they give me free beer for this!

Going for a shoot in the studio... Another post later in the day! Meanwhile, check out me and my kawaii cousin! She is so freaking vain. A camera ho in the making!

Have some canned koala?

Listening to: Evanescence - Everybody's Fool
Feeling: Like going home

One of the editors just got back from Australia and got us gifts. I am contented with my shooter glass pasted all over with koalas and a keychain with a patch of koala/kangaroo fur (who knows?) but, lo-behold... Canned Koalas!!

It really is quite salah to have something like that.. Imagine.. Have some Koalas anyone?

Stupid little silly me

Listening to: Sarah McLachlan - Adia (Live)
Feeling: Contented now that I am eating

Well, it was yesterday night when I had finally made that decision to really burn whatever that could remind me of him. It was impromptu but liberating.

It burned... symbolically it burned away to leave its charred remains.
The heat stung my thighs as I burned those pieces of paper I used to read before I go to sleep. It was painful but the warmth was in a way comforting.

I didn't know that even after burning it, the printing on the paper still remains. I guess it was some sort of a sign that could mean this will take a long time.. Even after everything, the print marks are still there.

Chinese believes that when you burn offerings, the ashes carry your wishes to the sky, where the Gods will hear you. Maybe the Gods will hear me out this time.

Piece by piece, the fire licked up the pages hungrily. How easy they burn. But as I throw the pages into the fire, piece by piece I read them and I remembered how hard it was for me to to wait for his email everyday, patiently waiting, wondering what he was doing while I write about what happened here everyday... I look at the date, everysinglefreakingday. Even on weekends. How stupid is that? I am so stupid... I am

Hai Lo Cafe on a Thursday night

Listening to: Sarah McLachlan - Perfect Girl
Feeling: Still Haze-d out

I think the haze is affecting my brains. I totally forgot about Thursday. On Thursday, we were at Hai Lo Cafe in The Curve. This this cute little cafe which features local talents, singing live. It is fun, but paying the charges to listen to them sing is a bitch. Can you imagine, a cup of blended fruit drink would cost RM11.90 but only RM6.90 (or something) during happy hours which I assume has no entertainment

Judging from the crowd, Hai Lo Cafe caters to mostly Chinese patrons. The songs they sing are also in mandarin, and one or two cantonese numbers. You can even do dedications. The singers are pretty good. We were taking hell load of pictures because we can't really talk/chat because of the loud music and it seems to be rude if we were to scream talk really loudly.

Friday Outings

Listening to: Sarah McLachlan - Drifting
Feeling: Haze-d out

Well, I have to do a back dated entry because Friday was a fucked up day in the office, the power went off again; no air-cond on a bright haze-filled day. Take that, HUH HUH HUH~ So, let's not talk about office on Friday but I am happy to announce that I escaped ran out towards freedom at about 4-ish to escape the stuffy and hot office.

I can't resist. I am a camera ho!!

Went to Frienster again, a big turnout. Though most were late but we stayed till 3, I think they had to chase us out.. can't really remember. They took a picture of us, maybe to get us to stay out next weekend

What would you do?

Listening to: Guang Liang - Tong Hua
Feeling: Hot and sticky like hell

"Everyone comes to me with their problems" he had told me once. "Who should I go to with my problems? I thought about it and realized that I could only turn to you"

Who should I turn to then?

I know I can turn to Gem, G, Sarah N and Nini but then how long would they want to listen to my mad rantings bitching? Sometimes when I need someone to talk to late at night, I could only turn to myself.

He had asked me once, "Why does it seem like you have no problems at all?" I wanted to answer him "Because the problems I have mainly stems from you" but refrained. Instead, I told him "You yourself choose to see if you have a problem or not. If you think you don't have that big a problem, you wouldn't really talk about it"

Selfless? Maybe just stupid.

Sometimes I wonder, things that I had done for him... Does he realize that I had done for him? Things like being a zombie the next morning because he called me to talk at 3am and it has to be at least 2 hours before we put down the phone or putting aside whatever I am doing to talk to him?

Of course I know that I had been a willing partner in doing all these things. After all, it takes two to tango. But the thought... The thought that I had been doing all these things, that I was so stupid was fascinating.

I told Gigi yesterday that I was really disappointed that things had to turn out the way it turned out to be and I really wanted the easy way out. I want to stay away from him. Break off all contact from him, ignore his messages and pretend not to hear his call. It breaks my heart because I know what this would come to... The end of our friendship. Should I do it?

He'll come to hate me but it is easier than to cry silent tears.
